The El Camino football team was shut out in the second half while Grossmont College wide receiver Jibril Clewis caught three passes for 103 yards and a touchdown to lead the Griffins past Warriors, 35-14, last week.
Sophomore quarterback David Sills completed 16 of 28 for 219 yards and a touchdown while throwing one interception. Sophomore wide receiver Zaire Andre added seven catches for 60 yards. Freshman running back Johnnell Jackson led the ground game with 45 yards on eight carries.
The Warriors (2-1) will host Saddleback College (3-0) today. The Gauchos are ranked No. 1 in the California Community College Football Coaches Association poll, according to the Southern California Football Association website.
