The El Camino women’s badminton team (3-5) lost to East L.A. College, 12-9, on Friday.

The Warriors were playing without its No. 1 player, freshman Oanh Le, due to injury.

“Had she been there, the results could have been different,” Britton said.

Le has missed three games so far this year due to a severe ankle injury.

Despite the loss, Britton said there were some very good performances.

Freshman Natsuki Hoshiko defeated the Huskies No. 4 singles player Stephanie Li, 25-23, 21-17.

“She (Hoshiko) just continues to improve,”Britton added.

EC’s next game will be at Pasadena City College on April 22 at 2 p.m.
