Softball team collects the win in five innings

El Camino softball (18-11) slides past El Camino-Compton Center with a final of 14-2 in five innings.

Offense got the job done for the home team as the Warriors recorded 10 hits in 26 at-bats, while the Tartars finished with 3 hits in 21 at-bats.

Freshman center fielder Samantha Tedder had her first start of the season, earning two hits in 4 at-bats in the leadoff spot. Catcher Brigid Antonelli finished a perfect two-for-two at the plate.

Freshmen right fielder Sabrina Martinez, third baseman Olivia Komsa, second baseman Alyvia Granillo, catcher Maleigha Quintero and pitchers Haley Reed and Cassandra Vasquez all collected one hit each for the Warriors.

El Camino hosts nonconference opponent, Rio Hondo College (11-17), at 3 p.m.
