Aug. 24 7:10 a.m. According to the report, an officer responded to a faculty office in the South PE for an attempted burglary report. A faculty member arrived at work and found her file cabinets open. The officer found pry marks on the office door. No property was taken. A report was taken.

Aug. 24, 7:57 a.m. An officer responded to a faculty members office in the Music Building for a attempted burglary report. According to the report, the faculty member arrived at his office and found pry marks on his door. There was no property taken. A report was taken.

Aug. 24, 8:37 a.m. According to the report, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 3300 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard for obstructing the flow of traffic. The driver who is a student had a suspended drivers license. The driver was issued a citation and had his vehicle towed away.

Aug. 24, 1:10 p.m. According to the report, an officer responded to the Special Resource Center for a medical aid call. A female staff member tripped over a chair and fell on the ground. The staff member declined medical treatment, but had her husband take her to an Urgent Care Center in Torrance. A report was taken.

Aug. 26, 7:30 a.m. According to the report, two officers on bike patrol observed a man skateboarding on the north side of the Marsee Auditorium. Officers stopped the man, who was a student, and attempted to give him a warning. The man was uncooperative and refused to identify himself. The man was then arrested for obstructing a police officer and for possession of a knife on a college campus. The student was transported to the station for booking and was released after signing a notice to appear in court. A report was taken.

Aug. 26, 9:15 a.m. An officer responded to the police lobby for a hit-and-run report. According to the report, a student said he returned to his car in Lot L and discovered a small dent in his passenger door. A report was taken.

Aug. 26, 10:45 a.m. According to the report, officers responded to the Marsee Auditorium for indecent exposure report. A staff member working inside the box office said that he observed a man urinating near a trash can outside the building. Officers checked the area but could not locate the man.

Aug. 26, 11:04 a.m. An officer responded to the police lobby to speak to a female staff member. According to the report, the staff member told the officer that she was washing her hands in the bathroom on the first floor of the Library when she saw a man exit one of the stalls. When she confronted the man, he acted confused and walked out. The staff member followed the man, but lost sight of him. A report was taken.

Aug. 27, 3:58 p.m. According to the report, an officer responded to the police lobby for a stolen vehicle report. A staff member told the officer that his 1991 Nissan truck was taken form Lot D. A report was taken.

Aug. 28, 3:50 a.m. Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in Lot A.

Aug. 28, 10:02 a.m. Officers took a petty theft report at the Bookstore.

Aug. 28, 11:22 a.m. Officers took a report in the Humanities Building for a petty theft.

Aug. 28, 1:12 p.m. Officers took a report at the Bookstore for a petty theft.

Gardena

Aug. 25, 7:52 p.m. A stolen vehicle report was taken in the 1800 block of Marine Avenue for a vehicle stolen on Jan. 15.

Aug. 27, 7:14 a.m. A white 2007 Ford Econoline was taken from the 15400 block of Gramercy Place without the owners consent.

Aug. 28, 3:22 p.m. A white 2014 Nissan Altima was taken from the 16500 block of St Andrews Place without the owners consent.

Aug. 28, 2:23 p.m. A cellphone was reported stolen from a business in the 17100 block of Western Avenue.

Torrance

Aug. 24, 10 p.m. A vehicle was burglarized at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Yukon Avenue. A car battery was taken.
