Final day to drop with ‘W’ nears

The final day to drop a class with a “W” is Monday. Students who drop will receive a “W” on their transcript and will not be eligible for a refund.

UCLA Day offers fair, workshops

Attention future Bruins: Today is UCLA day. There is a fair from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., workshops from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and appointments from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to meet with UCLA representatives from various departments.

Tour two San Diego universities Friday

Students have the opportunity to tour both University of California, San Diego, and San Diego State University tomorrow. Upon signing up for the tour, students must pay a refundable $5 deposit. Interested students may sign up in the Transfer Center.

Job shadow, tour fire department

Ride along with the firefighters of Los Angeles County on the career tour to the L.A. County Fire Department, Station 58, Wednesday. Students may tour the facility, explore career options, network with professionals and do a job shadow.

The tour leaves Parking Lot K at 10:15 a.m. and returns at 2 p.m. A refundable $5 deposit is required upon signing up for the tour in the Career Center.

Job market comes to college for grads

Where are the jobs? Curious students and staff may attend a free workshop entitled “Job Market for College Graduates,” taking place next Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in SSC 218.

Representatives from LMU, CSULB and CSUDH will be speaking on the current issues and trends of the job market and host a Q and A session. For more information, interested persons may contact Van Nguyen at (310) 660-6137.

See what goes on behind the camera on the KTLA Television Career Tour Thursday. The tour will allow students to go behind the scenes to meet the morning news staff and network with experts.

Pep squad tryouts continue Saturday

Pep squad auditions will continue to take place Saturday in P.E. 52, beginning at 10 a.m. Workout clothing and tennis shoes are recommended for the audition.
