Faculty recognized

Arthur Verge, history professor and Easter White, facility staff member, will be honored at the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day Thursday, May 27 at the Cafeteria.

Verge, who has been a faculty member since 1989 is being recognized for the enthusiasm with which he teaches, according to the presidents newsletter.

White, staff member since 1994, is being recognized for her outstanding contribution to the college.

A cause to run

Students and staff are invited to participate in the American Liver Foundation’s 5K Walk/Run Saturday, June 5 at Griffith Park.

To help raise money, awareness and hope, there is a $25 fee for all registrations postmarked by today and $30 by the deadline.

Participants and guests can expect music, prizes, a health fair and fun for children.

Find personality

To help find out who you really are, the EC Career Center is presenting a True Colors Career Workshop today from 11 a.m. to noon in the Student Services Center.

Students will have the opportunity to learn more about themselves through a personality theory that will give them insight into what majors and careers might best fit their personalities.

UCLA visits

Representatives from UCLA will be here today from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This is another opportunity for students to find out about admissions, financial aid and more.

Fashion show

Everyone is invited to attend the “Reflections… A Fashion Affair” the Student Design Fashion Show Wednesday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Marsee Auditorium.

The cost is $12 at the door.
